There are so many types of causes to anxiety attacks with no common ground. The causes for facial blushing can range from medical and biological issues to external mental emotional stimuli. From everything above so far we have seen that anxiety attacks progress from just about any opening and it is not all our fault. It is important that we are not ashamed about our condition and talk to the appropriate professionals in the field as this can be a symptom of something more serious. If it has inherent mental causes it can be easily overcome with some medicines and group therapy, so you don’t have to suffer painful sensation for the rest of your life.
On the other hand however anxiety attacks do not need to be so complex. It can be just a simple fear of public speaking or some other stressful situation that varies from one person to the next. Low self-esteem can cause shyness and eventually anxiety attack or social phobia. There a lot of different symptoms for social anxiety as well, like increased heart pounding, sweating, fainting, upset stomach and list goes on depending on the individual case.
Researches show that about 13% of the worlds population is affected by social anxiety. People with social phobia tend to feel quite nervous and uncomfortable in social situations. They are afraid that they’ll do something embarrassing or will make a mistake and that others will reject them or think negatively of them. These people always feel “on stage”.
There are different types of treatments available other than medications like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which has reported a lot positive feedback and Hypnotherapy. Blushing does not only affects the ones self-esteem, but it also affects the way they progress when receiving treatments for types of anxiety disorders. Let’s say for example, it is hard to overcome your fear of public speaking if you fear blushing, which tends to cause facial blushing itself, because you’re thinking about it and also thinking what others are thinking of you and so on. Ultimately the best approach is to work on one issue at a time and taking baby steps towards conquering this problem, because there really are so many different factors at play when comes to treating facial blushing.
